Dynamic Earth

This project involves the metamorphosis of the Big Nickel Mine tourist attraction into the premier geology and mining attraction. Through multimedia shows and interactive exhibits including a 70-foot chasm, Dynamic Earth tells the story of our living, changing planet and Sudbury’s rich mining heritage.

YBA provided full architectural services for Phase One, Two and Three of Dynamic Earth. The $4.2 million Phase 2 expansion included the addition of a new 130-seat digital theatre, program and workshop space, exhibit changes, expanded lobby spaces, and exterior developments such as landscaping and trail system improvements.
