Centre Lionel Edgar Lalonde Centre

This fast-paced, complex project involved the re-development of an existing community centre and fire fighting training facility to accommodate a number of the City’s essential / emergency services in one consolidated location. Services include a new satellite police station, new fire hall, emergency operations centre, emergency response centre and integrated land ambulance facilities. Space is also provided for specialized storage and common support spaces including accommodations, washrooms, locker room and kitchen / lounge spaces. In addition, space for community meeting, cultural, training and exercise space was maintained. A key challenge was to accommodate all of the program requirements within the available space and project budget parameters.
